There are various trips and events being planned to tie in with these topics - watch this space!

Sports clubs have restarted this week, and the new Junior Sports Leaders have been chosen from the Year Four children.  This week, Cross Country Club had a wonderful run out in beautiful sunshine on Thursday.

The School Kitchen continues to produce delicious meals which all the children enjoy.  There is a lovely varied menu which includes special dishes chosen and named by the children, and this half term, there are Golden Tickets to be won!  If you find one beneath your lunch tray, you can have a free meal of your choice, and invite an adult in for lunch too!

On the subject of food...  there was great excitement for the new Year Fives this week, as they had their very first EBA Enterprise lesson!  This took the form of a Masterchef challenge, where they were to make an autumn salad and dressing, thinking about the seasonality and availability of the produce.  They worked in groups, and their dishes were judged by Mr Whall and Mr Meade, who were impressed both by the quality and presentation of the food, and by the way that the children all worked well together.

This term sees the welcome return of "Choices" in Hedgehogs and Key Stage One, after a year's break.  The children are delighted!  They love to be able to split into groups and learn something new with different adults on a Friday afternoon, and look forward to this all week.  This half term the Choices are:

  Story Fun with Mrs Barker
  German with Miss Roberts
Fun in the Forest with Mrs Matthews
Golf and Games with our friends from Tilsworth Golf Centre
  Art with Mrs Dixon
  Malleable Play with Mrs Hornsey

Not to be left out, Key Stage Two children will have their own special Friday afternoon Enrichment activities too, in the coming weeks.  Lots to look forward to as the autumn term progresses at EBA!
