Week Ending 20th March 2015

We hope all the Mums out there liked their Mother's Day gifts and cards!  The children took great care and pride making them.  Some Mums came in for Mother's Day tea too...

Everyone is now busy making Easter items, either to decorate rooms, or for families and friends.  It is feeling more like Spring now and flowers are blooming around the School, making everything look cheerful.  Our new willow plants and outside willow classroom are beginning to thrive, and buds are beginning to appear.

Tuesday was an exciting day for Key Stage 1 children, as they had an Easter disco after school.  They enjoyed hot dogs and ice cream, and an Easter Egg Hunt.  On Thursday, it was the turn of the older children to have an after school treat - they enjoyed a Games Night, with bingo, a beetle drive, and a delicious buffet!

Wednesday was another very special day, as it was EBA Science Day!  Various experiments took place, with children making putty, recreating rockets, and learning about chromatography.

Following on nicely from our Science Day, on Friday everyone had fun eclipse spotting.  The clouds broke just enough for us to view the partial solar eclipse through our special eclipse glasses.  It was very exciting, and something we hope that the children lucky enough to have seen it will always remember.
