Week Ending 10th January 2020

Welcome back, and a Happy New Year to all!

It's been a quiet week at Eaton Bray Academy, with everyone settling back into the school routine, and starting work on their new topics for Spring Term 2020.

  • Deer - New York
  • Foxes - Ancient Greeks
  • Badgers - The Romans
  • Rabbits - Ancient Eygpt
  • Squirrels - Travel and Transport
  • Otters - Explorers
  • Hedgehogs - Superheroes and Traditional Tales
  • Hamsters - Animals
The Value for this term is "Happiness"

Hamsters Class has welcomed some new children this week, who have been enjoying playing indoors and outside, and making new friends. Their Home Corner has become an Animal Hospital, and the children have been playing vets as part of their Animal topic.

In Science, the children in Foxes Class have been looking at light and shadow, and the movement of the Earth around the Sun. They have made sundials, and luckily, on Friday, the sun came out brightly enough at midday for them to test out the time telling properties of their devices.

On Friday, Rabbits and Badgers Classes started a new musical activity. They were very excited to find out that they will be learning percussion and drumming this term!
