Saturday was a beautiful day for our village carnival. Thanks to an enthusiastic group of parent helpers, our Dr Who themed float looked wonderful! There was a marvellous selection of Dr Who monsters and aliens on board, as well several "Doctors" and assistants.
This week has been "International Week". Each class has been a different country, and the children have moved around the School learning about different cultures.
Badgers Class has been Italy, and children have found out all about the Leaning Tower of Pisa. In Squirrels, they have learnt about Brazil and explored the Brazilian Rain Forest. Rabbits has been the place to find out about Australia, and the children have made models of the Sydney Opera House from paper plates! China has been the theme for Otters Class, where the children have learnt some Chinese writing and made Chinese fans. Finally, in Hedgehogs, it has been Mexico, where they have made delicious spicy salsa. It has been a fun week!
A special treat on Wednesday - Black Dragon, a martial arts group from Aylesbury came in to teach us some Tai Chi and Kung Fu. All the children joined in - and some of the adults!
On Friday, we were treated to another music assembly. This time, courtesy of Mr Perry and his violin and piano pupils who played a selection of the music they have learnt this year.
