Here is a selection of photos from Dell Farm as promised. As you can see, the children had a fantastic time, in lovely sunshine, did lots of different activities, and were really able to make the most of their two days away from home!
Otters Class have been working hard this week on phonics, in preparation for the Y1 Phonics Tests next week. They have also been learning the basics of algorithms and computer programming, and were set the task of programming a robot (Mrs Young) to make a sandwich from a list of instructions!
Squirrels have been thinking of life as an African warrior, and had fun making pasta necklaces, and designing head bands from beads.
In the kitchen the focus was on China this week, and there was a special Chinese menu on Wednesday. Everyone enjoyed spring rolls, chow mein, spare ribs and other delicious delicacies, all prepared and cooked "from scratch" in the school kitchen.
The whole School has also been making items for the Village Carnival float... top secret news... our theme is "The Titanic!"
Cricket was the sport of the day again on Thursday, with our Year 5s and 6s taking part in an inter schools tournament. Once again, the weather was beautiful, and our team did very well, coming fourth overall, but top in the stakes for team spirit we think!
