Week Ending 19th September 2014
On Tuesday, children in Years 2 and 3 had the opportunity to attend an after school Art Club in the hall. Years 4, 5 and 6 had their turn on Thursday. The children worked with clay, under the supervision of a qualified art and design teacher, and made beautiful owls! During this half term, there will be time to work with a varied range of media. For more information and photos have a look at the website www.loveartandcraft.co.uk.
On Thursday evening, parents had the chance to come along to School to find out about how English and Maths are taught in our Academy. A few parents participated... it's lovely to know that this means the majority already feel "sound" in how to help their children at home, with homework.
Roald Dahl Day is fast approaching! It's an opportunity for the children to show their imaginations and come dressed for the day as a character from one of his books, a "new" character, or in sunshine yellow. Hopefully a "Dahlicious" day will be enjoyed by all!
