Week Ending 19th October 2012

On Monday there was an Open Afternoon at School, when visitors could see our children at work, and sample a selection of the food from the School dinner menu.  everyone who joined us enjoyed the experience, and were impressed by the behaviour and standards of topic work.

Younger children are planning a wedding celebration meal, so look out for their art work by Hedgehogs room.  Otters have made a guy, so if passing by their room, cast your eyes upwards for a glimpse.

Squirrels have been planning photo frames, in preparation for making them in wood as Christmas gifts for friends and relations.  Rehearsals have already started for the KS1 Christmas Concert, and songs are catchy and memorable.

Rabbits have been learning about Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot, whilst Badgers have been enjoying stories from India, and have made pin hole cameras in Science.

Hamsters have enjoyed an "Autumn Week", and have had fun making their very own "Dingle Dangle Scarecrow".  The staff have also been very busy and creative, and have painted a wonderful Gruffalo mural onto the classroom wall.

KS2 children have been allocated Panto parts, and will be learning their parts over half term.  If anyone has any props or costumes for "Cinderella", please hand into the office.

Half term concludes next Friday with a non-uniform day, when children will dress in primary colours, to celebrate our new PRIMARY STATUS!!!  Staff and pupils will enjoy a celebratory picnic at lunch time.  In the afternoon, KS2 children will be interviewed in "Dragons' Den", when they present the panel with their business plans.
